Mission Statement
My aim is to help public sector procurement work better in practice, not just on paper.
I work with public sector organisations and suppliers bidding into the public sector to design procurement approaches that are compliant, proportionate and fit for purpose. Too often, good outcomes are undermined by overly complex processes, misaligned incentives or a lack of shared understanding between buyers and suppliers.
I focus on building procurement systems and commercial approaches that people can realistically engage with, that deliver value and that stand up to scrutiny. The goal is better outcomes for organisations, suppliers and the communities they serve.
About Me
After more than twenty years working in public sector procurement, I've learned something important: real improvement rarely comes from theory alone.
Throughout my career, I've seen the potential for public procurement to deliver genuine value, and the frustration that arises when good intentions are undermined by complexity, limited capacity or rigid processes. I've worked alongside dedicated procurement professionals trying to do the right thing, and businesses with strong solutions struggling to navigate the system.
That experience is why I founded LMB Procurement.
Effective public procurement isn't just about compliance. It's about understanding the pressures on both sides, speaking a shared commercial language and designing approaches that work in reality, not just in guidance notes.
LMB Procurement exists to bridge that gap: supporting public sector organisations to procure well, and helping suppliers engage effectively and competitively. It's a practical approach, grounded in experience and focused on outcomes.
At heart, I'm still motivated by the same thing that drew me into public service in the first place: making things work better. I've just found a different way to do that.
